1. Creation

A project should be created through a documented institutional act identifying its purpose, status, responsible unit and initial registry code.

2. Classification

Projects may be classified as Active, In Development, Completed, Historical or Archived, with one or more categories such as Social, Cultural, Research, Memory, Heritage, Human, Experimental or Institutional.

3. Required record

Each project record should identify purpose, background, responsible unit, associated people, associated research, institutional acts, documents, recognition, timeline, current status and archive where applicable.

4. Modification

Material changes to purpose, authority, status or scope should be documented through an institutional act or resolution.

5. Suspension and closure

Suspension or closure should state the reason, effective date, responsible authority and archival disposition of the project record.

6. Continuity

Closing a project does not erase its institutional history. Its record should remain accessible according to the applicable archival and privacy rules.
